With hearts full of gratitude, we made it!!! Yep, pedaled with 41 others 4320 miles across North America from June 18-August 20, 2022. Thanks for all of your support, prayers, encouragement, and for sharing our 2022 bike adventure across the US and Ontario, Canada with us! It was a blast, made even better by meeting family and friends along the way, and receiving daily SITREPS on Turtle’s (our Dachshund) adventures with his besty, Remy, and Aunties Sturgie and MoRo. Stay tuned For the next adventure… better yet, join us. Drop us a line. Peace all!

Thanks for keeping us company along the way!
We made it!! Thank you all for your support - what fun! The proverbial icing on the cake was being met on the beach in Gloucester, MA by our friends (four of whom are also Lurilla’s USCGA classmates) Jean and Vince, Karen and Sue, and Annmarie. Was a blast! We are truly blessed.
Back in the USA, riding through the Excelsior State (or as some call it, the Empire State). From Finger Lake, to the Adirondacks, to the Olympic Village we had a blast. One week to go!
Week 7 began with a ferry ride to Ludington, MI on the SS Badger where we were met on the dock by our West Seattle neighbor and friend Dave for a surprise visit. Dave was on an adventure of his own involving a solo sailing mission on Lake Michigan - it was fun to connect with him. We were also met by friends Chris and Clare at the campsite when we got to Frankenmuth, MI for wine, munchies, and laughs before continuing on to Ontario, Canada and Niagara Falls. Peace.
Wisconsin was a win! A ferry ride, catching up with Louisiana Firefly friend Peggy and her grandchildren in Plymouth, cool train tunnels and trails, and good riding with our C2C pals. Cheers, all!
Over 1/2 Way with 2500+ miles traveled! Crops, wind, giant corn, raging storm, native lands, ice cream, and fellowship punctuated this week. Happy belated birthday Brother John! Congrats on your marriage Joe and Ruby. Peace and hugs all!
Another Segment complete! We pedaled through the Black Hills, over miles of a gravel road from Hell, past the Crazy Horse monument (still a work in progress), over the Needles Highway with Mt. Rushmore framed by the tunnels, through The Badlands, to Wall Drug, and ended up at the Pierre, SD along the Missouri River. Love and miss you all!
Greetings family and friends from Hulett WY/ Bear Lodge (aka Devils Tower). What a week. We enjoyed some beautiful riding, laughs, and friendship along the way. We both tested + for COVID a few days into the ride, but are improving day by day. We begin Segment 4 tomorrow, and are planning an early start to compensate for the COVID lag. Thanks for your continued prayers and encouragement. Lovin‘ Y’all!
We made it to Wyoming!
C2C Segment 1: Marysville WA - Missoula MT, 625 miles, 26,960’ Gains. Whew!
